Review #03 - Thierry Mugler Summer Flash (A*Men)

"Angel, isn't it lovely?"

Review: Angel Men, with it's incredibly seductive and sexy scent is captured in the form of Summer Flash by Mugler. Angel is somewhat a hit with men who knows what chic and metro sexuality is. Well loved in the eyes of fashion designer and fashion spies, this bottle is obligatory to stay in every man's wardrobe.

Review #02 - Hilfiger True Star (Men)

"Something unique for the weekend, Sir?..."

Review: True Star was inspired by Enrique's sexy, yet easy-going style. The fragrance immediately draws one in with its crisp, invigorating scent and then relaxes the senses with a warm blend of notes. The fragrance captures a man's edgy yet casual appeal and can be worn in any occasion.

Review #01 - Chanel Allure Homme Sport (Men)

"There's something incredibly special about the woody and sensual composition of this cologne..."

Review: This perfume is designed specifically for those with huge muscle packs. Ever seen the movie 300? You would never fail to notice the distinguish fresh, spicy and woody scent on this. Don't worry if you're the sweaty type or someone who perspires a lot. Allure Homme can definitely camouflage that perfectly, leaving you with the scent a woman can't resist.

Amazing

It's pretty amazing to see how the Chinese people have come so far in terms of speaking foreign language. I'm not talking about unorthodox languages like Zimbabwean or Latvian language, but the universal language called English. Tune into CCTV9 or Channel News Asia and you would see the newscaster speaking perfect English. And when I saw perfect English, it means they speak with complete American accent! I tried closing my eyes, listening to them and if they were on the radio I wouldn't be able tell if they are Chinese.

On the other hand, you can hardly find a Caucasian speaking Chinese language in Chinese accent. They might be able to speak good Chinese language but it would be in American-Chinese accent. Being being as a Chinese is relatively nice as we're exposed to various languages during infancy. There are many dialects in Chinese language apart from the major ones like Cantonese and Mandarin. So, it's in our gene that we're able to grasp easily when it comes to learning new language.

The next time you meet someone from the rural village in China, don't ever look down on them or they might say this to you "What you looking at, PUNK?"

Interesting

1. Walking into a chinese dimsum restaurant, you expect to see lots of chattering, people walking around, parents scolding their kids and nice food aroma. So you flip on the menu, deciding on what to order, asking people in your table what they want. Next thing, your mind flew to the few girlfriends of yours and wondering if they've sent you any mail. So you took out the laptop and search for Wi-Fi. Ta-daaaa! You're connected.

Not available in MY.

2. You are walking the street. You feel like your tummy is waging war inside. You look around for the nearest toilet. You found one. But being a Malaysian, you fear that the toilet might be just as dirty. But don't fret for you have:

You don't have to worry catching STD anymore! Haha

3. Tried my very first Reserve Cabernet from Australia. Apparently this baby is not cheap and it'll go down smoothly down your throat. Next time you choose for a wine, choose a Reserve.

4. Went to a beautiful and cozy Japanese-style cafe. But I don't ever think this bottle originated from Japan.

Nice feeling

Back in KL, I remembered AYO said to me to chant more to encounter "xin chi sik" and also not to blame this Buddhism should anything bad happens to me. Right there and then, I knew that I had to take responsibility for my own life. I had to make decisive decisions with wisdom while considering various factors within my life. So I made a decision to re-start my daimoku and to do everything with faith.

Yesterday, I had a good opportunity to encounter "xin chi sik". Initially I was planning to chant for an hour a day starting from the first day in HK and was going to start yesterday. Came afternoon, my dad received a call from Diana proposing to chant for two hours before Chant&Chat starts. Btw, Chant&Chat is similar to chanting meet back in KL. And there will also be another hour of chanting in C&C meet. I thought to myself, wow, 3 hours of daimoku altogether and can I do that? I said to my dad I'm going to challenge 3 hours (my first time in my life). I was determined to change myself from within through faith and survived through the chanting session. I felt incredibly good after that. During the chanting, I was doing a mental check of my own weaknesses, apologizing to Gohonzon and making new resolutions.

This morning, I received a good news from Monash Uni. My official transcript is finally out and I wasn't expecting it to be out so quick. I immediately felt that this must be arrangement from the Gohonzon. With the transcript, I can start my job-hunting even sooner now. At the same time, I told myself not to be complacent with such incident as it could be a devil in disguise to test my faith. This incident could appear as to make me feel complacent when things are smooth.

As Shin Yatomi said during OYPC 2006, chant with spirit of gratitude during good times and challenging spirit during bad times, this way, we will be able to keep chanting NMHRGK no matter what. Now that Shin is not with us anymore, I'm sure that my daimoku will always be with him.

I changed my mind.

Instead of purely reviewing perfumes in this blog, I'd like to add something else as well. I will document my new journey in this blog as well, posting up interesting/non-interesting encounters and my experience in HK.

I will start posting my debut entry soon.

Bye.
